Our team has created a concise guideline for you to keep in mind when creating, attending live events, or connecting with others in the forums.
These forum guidelines help us maintain a safe, respectful, and productive environment for members of our forum.
Focus on the emotions, not on the arguments!
Our goal is to master ourselves in coping and collaborating with our emotions. And although they give feedback on beliefs, the support we want to give one another is about the personal emotions and not about discussing the arguments.
No harassment:
We prohibit any form of harassment, hate speech, or bullying.
No spamming:
Do not share irrelevant or excessive self-promotion or advertisements.
No illegal activity:
We prohibit any illegal or unethical activities, including but not limited to copyright infringement and fraud.
Maintain privacy:
Respect the privacy of others and do not share personal information without consent.
Keep it clean:
Avoid explicit or offensive content, including vulgar language and hate speech.
Be constructive:
Provide constructive feedback and criticism in a positive and respectful manner.

Be respectful:
Treat others as you would like to be treated. This guideline encourages individuals to treat others with kindness, empathy, and respect, regardless of differences in opinions or backgrounds. It means refraining from making derogatory comments or engaging in aggressive behavior. Unity is one of *Emotion Codex*’s core values, and we uphold this value together as a forum. Our meetups are unique and special, thanks to the deeply respectful way members treat each other.
No harassment:
This guideline prohibits any form of harassment, hate speech, or bullying. It means refraining from making threats, discriminating, or making derogatory remarks based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, or other personal characteristics. Be respectful and aware of others’ boundaries. For instance, always ask, “Do you hug?” before assuming someone wishes to hug. Respect how others feel in the moment.
No spamming:
Avoid sharing irrelevant or excessive self-promotion, advertisements, or other content that does not add value to the conversation. While we understand that your business or goals may be part of your personal story, avoid pitching sales or promotions during meetups. If someone is interested, they can approach you afterward to discuss further.
No illegal activity:
Refrain from engaging in activities that violate the law or ethical standards. As our forum is global, please be mindful of local laws. We strive to uphold the highest standards of our values, leaving people and places feeling safe and respected in our presence.
Maintain privacy:
Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information or stories without explicit consent. Everything shared in our events or forums is confidential unless stated otherwise. You may share anecdotes about what you learned but avoid using names or identifying details.
Keep it clean:
Avoid explicit or offensive content. While occasional curse words are natural, overuse or negative comments about others or situations are discouraged.
Be constructive:
Provide feedback that is helpful and focuses on improvement. Avoid unsolicited coaching. If someone wants advice, they will ask. Respect their decision if they decline support.
No gurus, no teaching
This is not a place to set yourself up as a teacher, or guru. The learning guidance is provided by Vera. Members are invited to share from their own experience, not to diagnose, analyze, or guide others.
By staying in your own experience, you contribute to a safe and equal field where everyone can explore at their own pace.
Be open-minded:
Be willing to listen to others and consider different viewpoints. Everyone has the right to their perspective. Listen with curiosity and an open heart, unless the meetup explicitly involves debate.
No discussions related to politics, sexual orientation, gender, race, or religion:
Unless the theme of the workshop permits it, avoid these topics to maintain a safe and respectful environment. If such discussions arise, the host will remind participants that this is not the space for them.
