Hi You,
Last week I went to the forest for a walk with my husband and our two dogs. We’d read on the internet that they’d spotted a wolf in that area. We discussed what we should do if we might meet that animal.
Marko said he would find a large piece of wood and would hit it on the head. So, he chose to fight the danger.
And although I often proved myself to be a fighter in dangerous situations, I didn’t think myself capable of winning from that wolf. “I think I would offer my dogs and take that chance to flee.”
So, what this basically meant, was that he found himself capable of winning and I didn’t. In case of coping with fear, our belief in ourselves is a very important ingredient in conquering our fears.
Now, the interesting thing about this story was this. In the weeks after that walk I went into a deep process of producing the next course of the Emotion Mastery Program: emotion group fear. I went so deep into it, that my whole body got stuck. So painful even, that I needed to visit a physiotherapist.
Interestingly, the same kind of mirrors appeared, reflecting how I was doing when I entered the healing phase of the course. And later, the mastery part.
That’s when we went into the same forest again. I’d conquered the fears so deep and connected with the emotional force of fear so profound that I felt on top of the world. My husband asked me again if I would now fight the wolf. lol
And truly! My self-trust had risen so much that I came up with several options to ‘fight’ the wolf, without even harming him, I was amazed myself.
I’ve always loved the contrasts in live, because they show us so much truth about our perception of live. Mmmm In this case, that it’s not the danger that we need to conquer, but our belief in ourselves 😉
Fear is the third course in the Emotion Mastery Program. So if you’d like to come on board and change your life…
Warmly, /vera
